Good day, this is Michael De Rosa and I am in Isaiah 1:27
Zion will be redeemed with justice
And her repentant ones with righteousness.
While I not meet anyone who does not want to go to Heaven; I have met many who presume they are good enough to merit Heaven
Yet, redemption is not based on our merits but on God’s justice. And God tells us that no one is just. And justice must be satisfied before redemption comes.
Listen to me: Because justice must be served; judgment IS coming.
BUT… why don’t we see God’s judgment as a means of grace towards us. Namely, though we all have been given plenty of opportunities to obey and love God, we have —sadly—went our own ways. And thus, God’s judgments are a wake up call for us to see how our own waywardness has separated us from a loving Father
Sometimes such judgments are the only way we learn. But the Good News is that Christ died in our place.
Friend, judgement WILL COME, BUT will you be judged or will you receive Christ who has willingly took that judgement upon Himself so that you can live.
