Good day, this is Michael De Rosa and I am in Isaiah 1:19-20 which reads:
“If you consent and obey,
You will eat the best of the land; “But if you refuse and rebel,
You will be devoured by the sword.”
While we have heard people talk about God’s judgment upon America, we have heard others ridicule such a belief.
Yet, if we believe in God’s sovereignty, then out of necessity we are accepting that nothing happens to us without it first passing through the hands of God. This, alone, should give us reason to pause: namely while this scripture called out Ancient Israel’s disobedience, I can only wonder how it might be pertinent for us today.
So, let me be straight forward and ask: are we obeying God? And are we presuming what things God is OK with or not OK with?
Friend, because of God’s great love for us, we have been given to freedom to obey Him or to brace ourselves for His judgment. There really is no middle ground.
What are you choosing to do?
