We are moving into Acts 6 today and the topic will be the ministry of the Holy Spirit
While there is so much going on in this chapter, I want us to look at this big picture. Namely, come what may, God’s agenda will be carried out
Namely, His plan of redemption which will encompass caring for everyday practical needs. And as those needs are resolved, we will continue to see good things happening. Thus, out of the needs -the problems- more opportunities will come to see the Gospel preached, and people responding positively to this Good News.
The problem, here in this chapter, was that some widows were being neglected and from that being resolved, we are introduced to Stephen, a man full of grace and power.
So, in closing, the big picture is this: God is involved in the details of life, and desires to work through us to address such concerns. And as those concerns are resolved, the proclamation of the Gospel will continue
