Good day, this is Michael De Rosa and I am in Isaiah 1:11 which reads:
“What are your multiplied sacrifices to Me?”
Says the Lord.
“I have had enough of burnt offerings of rams
And the fat of fed cattle;
And I take no pleasure in the blood of bulls, lambs or goats.
The point here is that people were going through rituals with little thought of the significance that God had placed upon them.
And the same is true today. One too many of us have adopted a religiosity that just might appear good, but remains far from what God ever intended; because, our practices do not allow God to build a loving relationship with us, which is His heart’s desire.
And so, without mincing words, God declares this: I have had enough!
Because of this, God was about to shake things up with Israel to get them out of their comfort zone. And He is doing this even today.
Like a mama bear robbed of her cubs, God will do all he needs to do to give us the opportunity to come back to Him
