if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught in Him, just as truth is in Jesus,
I am experiencing a joy filled-sadness as I write this.
I am saddened that one too many of my brothers and sisters in Christ, including myself, have allowed ourselves to be ruthlessly caught up in succumbing to sin as we want to live like Christ
Yet, I am, also, experiencing joy. A joy-filled expectation…because I have experienced God’s power in my life before, and I know I will experience a deeper work of His glory within me again…
…because the truth is in Jesus.
Namely, to tackle our sinful dispositions, we don’t have to try harder to improve, Rather, we need to know that the truth is in Jesus.
We have already heard Him and we have been taught by Him, and now we need to let go of all but Him while praising Him for what He is doing right now in our troubled life to reveal His glory
