We will be looking at 2 Corinthians 5:20
Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.
Now an ambassador, is a representative, a missionary sent to proclaim the desired message of a Governing Authority.
And that Governing Authority is Jesus Christ, and that desired Message is th e Hope filled Message, the Gospel.
While it is God alone who can and will and desires to save people from their sins, He has entrusted to us His Message and He is calling out through us to those who are lost in their sin to be reconciled to Him.
I can’t even imagine how we would experience God making an appeal through us, but I would dare say we would be gripped with an unparalleled urgency to share the Gospel
So, my dear Christian brother and sister, let me leave you with this question:
How is knowing
that you are ambassadors for Christ
change the landscape of your day,
your interactions with others?
