Yet those who wait for the Lord
Will gain new strength;
They will mount up with wings like eagles,
They will run and not get tired,
They will walk and not become weary.
Let me tell you some things that I am learning about waiting for the Lord
- It is not something that I am called to endure
- It is not a time for me to do nothing and to simply believe that whatever happens is meant to happen
- It is not a time for me to start mulling over in my mind the most effective way to deal with a problems
Rather,
- It is a time to be on the alert in discovering God’s leading
- a time to start seeing situations less from my perspective and more from God’s vantage point
- It is a time to be absolutely amazed, again and again, at how God shows to deal with my concerns
And…all this gives me renewed vitality to live for the Lord another day.
