Today I want to look at focus iand my test will be 2 Chronicles 12:14:
And he did evil, for he did not set his heart to seek the Lord.
While the sound doctrines of the church provide safeguards for us as we live out our faith, we must be ever mindful to keep Biblical Truth in balance with seeking the God who gave it to us.
Prior to my conversion to Christianity, I had viewed evil in terms of real bad behaviors; and yet, God’s standard for evil was and is much broader than my own…for He describes it as a life not focused upon Him.
Too often, people pursuit the American Dream and forget God, and that will cost us our very souls.
May I strongly encourage each one of you to not look to the churches, your small groups, your friends, the many Christian resources found on the internet as your primary life line of relationship to God. For if these do not provide a spring board to knowing God, your faith is on shaking ground.
Please ask yourself this question:
What must you do today to draw near to God?
