I am  moving into Acts 5 today  with the theme of the fruit of

Being Christian costs us our lives.  God does not give us suggestions as to how to live, but commands because He knows that without such we would quickly go astray

While this seems harsh, is it not because we just want to do our own thing and not be tied down.  But, if we consider this type of freedom we want, we might just not also want the consequences of such  freedom.  For example:  unwanted pregnancies from free sex, or loosing our hard earned money from gambling.

Yet, the blessings of full obedience are awesome:

  • God will more readily draw people to the Gospel
  • Miracles will more readily occur
  • Boldness in the face of opposition will be the MO of Christians

So, friends, consider what it is actually costing you to be a half-hearted follower of our Lord and Savior; and repent of such lukewarmness because God Himself desires so much more for you.
