Good Day, this is Michael De Rosa and today I will focus on making our lives count for something, while referencing the parable of the talents, beginning in Matthew 25:14
Unfortunately, one too many people think they have nothing of value to offer others because they measure the seeming paucity of their abilities with the overly exaggerated thought that others are more gifted.
For these people -and all of us too- this parable jolts us towards the awareness that unless we use the gifts given us, we will loose them in a most tragic manner.
So, then, let me encourage you, especially if you find your job boring, or your retirement lackluster:
think back to the time BEFORE the opinions of others started to shape your decisions on what you do or did and rediscover those gifts that God birthed you with, that will make your heart sing as you explore the avenues they will open up to you as you go through this life.
