Good day, this is Michael De Rosa and my text is Psalm 23:4, and the topic is suffering

No. One. Is. Immune.  Sure, I believe in miracles, but I also believe in a Sovereign God who knows the end game and knows the best way to win…which just might entail getting uncomfortable.

I read a quote by CS Lewis on his matter and he summed it up, rather, well by conveying that our strangle hold for wanting to see God’s miracles to always occur only mirrors man’s desire to be the center of attention, while trashing what God’ love is all about.

Let me put it another way.  If we can accept our parent’s disciplines why do we run from God’s.  Namely, why do we see natural disasters, and crimes, and things that ‘just should not be’ because or our idea of what God’s love is all about, as events that God should not allow?

So, suffering…whether little or much can be in our futures.  YET,  Our Lord walks through it with us.

Let’s pray to grasp THAT bigger picture.
