Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice.
How grateful I was when I read some of the comments on a recent school board meeting in Claremont NH. I had prayed for Our Lord’s peace and insight to prevail the night before with my wife and grandson because I know how people can get quite upset with the problems of the educational system.
Well, the next day, I was amazed at the number of comments that were supportive towards those who are tasked with fixing the problem.
For these people bitterness…and the like…did not reign; rather, what prevailed was an environment of working together to address the problem. EVIL lost ground for this group. God’s word prevailed.
Now, the problem IS STILL THERE. But if anger, and accusations, and slander are stopped, level heads prevail.
Lord, let us see Your hand in all this. We got a foretaste of sanity. Show us more. Raise up leaders and residents who will unashamedly live by Your Word. AMEN.
