Good day, this is Michael De Rosa, and we will looking at Psalms 37:1, which reads:
Do not fret because of evildoers,
Be not envious toward wrongdoers
.

Unless the Holy Spirit has made his home in us, the Christian will never be victorious over the many evils around us.

Nor, should Christians presume that just because Holy Spirit has made his home in them, we can be unconcerned about our problems.

For while God has given us all we need to have victory over every worry, we need to apply this knowledge with due diligence in order to see the evil conquered

And we can do that through Prayer which needs to be our focus

Let me explain:
While we are all too often painfully aware of the many inclinations we have to worry and of the relentless temptation towards envy, that is not what needs to captivate our attention.

Rather, our focus needs to be on the presence of God.

It is He, the Great I AM, the Beginning and the End, who draws us to himself through giving us the ability to not fret and not envy, because He is our all in all.
