I am in Acts 23 and I want to continue on the topic of Standing Firm in light of Paul’s defense.
Today, though I want to look at some building blocks of standing firm…some basic components to having an unshakeable faith.
While our faith in only in Christ, God’s word shows us the importance of growing in that faith. Namely, of becoming more aware of God’s provisions and His presence as we go through this life. And just as e have learned things in the past, we are encouraged to develop holy habits to persevere in the faith
For example, consider how prayer and bible reading and bible memorization and christian fellowship and christian service and witnessing will all stretch our faith muscles to help us stand firm
Now, in sharp contrast, consider that Christian who does nothing more than continued reflection of a point in time when he became a Christian.
I really think Paul’s end of life story here would have been quite different if he did not seek to grow in his faith.
How are you standing firm?
