I’m in Acts 27 and, today I want us to look at putting others’ needs above our own.
We see that as Paul, who was going to trial, told the leaders who had bound him, to see to the safety of the other prisoners in the face of the coming storm at sea
On a good day, helping others can be hard, but when you, yourself, are in he midst of trials, it can be hard enough to try to help yourself keep from worrying, let alone reach out to others who are in need.
And, yet, Paul did. And, as followers of Christ, we are called to do likewise
This can only be done as we daily learn what it means to abide in Him for apart from Him, all our efforts are unsubstantial.
Our circumstances can become excruciating, at times, and yet, even in such difficulties God may call upon us to help another person.
Any other response, but Yes Lord Yes, will eliminate an opportunity for God to show that person His redemption
