We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. Roman 5:3
Friends, if we don’t know how to handle our problems, those very problems will consume us
But, here we learn how to get through them. Namely by Rejoicing
Now rejoicing refers to living with a God given confidence that God is present in our trials and able to lead us through them. And , this confidence only comes when we have been embraced by God’s love towards us through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Thus, I dare to say that even the questions such as why good people suffer if God is all powerful and loving become less important as our propensity to rejoice in trials increases
So, in closing, let me ask this question:
What type of a witness are we when we encounter trials?
