The main subject from Acts 8 that I will discuss is Perseverance in the face of Persecution.
While we read of wonderful miracles and salvations, we must realize that these took place in the midst of hard times. Thus, we must realize that walking in the Spirit will -out of necessity- bring us face to face with both.
Are we ready?
This chapter begins by stating that persecution towards the church broke out after one Christian was put to death
While we must declare God’s love, we must realize that being His disciples will cost us everything. There is simply no two ways about it.
So, are we ready?
Do we have an undying focus on following Jesus? Or, have we grown too comfortable in laying down our crosses when we just wanted to do our own thing?
Friend, hard times are here and will continue!. Only by being filled with the Spirit of God will we ever persevere through the difficult times
