Let’s look at God’s promises, focusing today on Matthew 11:28-30, where our Lord gives us His assurance of comfort when we are burdened.

This past winter, while I was in New England, I caught myself becoming anxious thinking about the amount of potential snow fall during one storm.   Yet, God reminded me of this promise and so I roused myself from sleep to physically move so as to come to him.  Granted, God IS everywhere but to actually find a more opportune place to meet with Him can help us become more quickly centered on His presence.

And during this time, He wonderfully reminded me that He understood my concerns fully and at that point, my anxiousness turned towards anticipation as I began to wonder what great things our Lord and God would do during these extremely cold days.

So, while I kept the blankets on, and dressed warmly when needing to venture outside, there was an upward peace-filled thought that God cares for His people.

Because God is for us, we have the victory…regardless.
