Good day, this is Michael De Rosa, and we will be Isaiah 55:8
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.

God’s view of our life dumbfounds us outside of Scripture.

Our systems of right and wrong, will need overhauling if we are ever to get a glimpse of God’s love for us.

I think that the discrepancy between God’s thoughts and ways and ours is rooted in our struggle with Absolute Values as opposed to Situational Ethics.

Take, for instance, our adeptness at rationalizing our actions by reflecting on the killing fields of Cambodia, the third Reich in Germany, and even our own Civil War. And remember, though this may be repulsive to you, those who took lives during these times, felt themselves justified.

And how can anyone claim justification for his actions outside an Absolute Standard

So, in n closing, the only way to reorient ourselves to the Absolute Standard is read, listen, and follow through on God’s word
