Good Morning, friend, this is Michael De Rosa and today I talk about ‘rebuke’, and my text is Proverb 17:10
A rebuke goes deeper into one who has understanding Than a hundred blows into a fool
Rebukes come when our actions, words, and/or our thoughts have turned us from God’s plan for us.
God has rebuked me before, and today those marks of brokenness are my continually reminder of the pain He revealed from those times. And over the years, God has taught me some things that I want to pass on to you along the lines of knowing God’s plan for your life:
- Don’t lean on good intentions. They have been fittingly described as pavement for the road to Hell.
- Don’t dismiss seemingly insignificant decisions as unnecessary to pray about, because you will, inadvertently be setting yourself up to believe that You don’t need God
- Don’t think that trying to know His will is confusing, for many times such seeming confusion masks the reality of our desire to not want to give up our own plans
I am praying that this message reaches you in a timely fashion
Blessings on your journey, friend
